Hailing from both Edinburgh and Glasgow ( with a little bit of Reading) The Letting Go are the product of many years in the Scottish music. They set their stall out to produce music that is both melodic and cutting covering all the hues of maturity in dealing with love , loss, tears and laughter. A six piece , vox, guitars, drums , Keys and trumpet/flute.
They are primarily about the songs which are crafted and manicured to lift the spirit whilst enhancing the words. She Lied, a song that deals with the false promises of commerce and technology , will preceed an album that is taking shape for release around the turn of the year. The touchstones are the pale fountains , Lloyd cole , postcards recrds, Bowie, and the classic Scottish pop song tradition.
